UNCTAD (United Nations Conference on Trade and Development) 6

Established in 1964 as a permanent intergovernmental body, UNCTAD is the principal organ of the United Nations General Assembly dealing with trade, investment and development issues.

The main goals are: Maximize the trade, investment and development opportunities of developing countries and assist them in their efforts to integrate into the world economy on an equitable basis

UNECE (United Nations Economic Commission for Europe) 7

UNECE was set up in 1947 by ECOSOC. It is one of five regional commissions of the United Nations.

Das vorrangige Ziel der UNECE ist die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung und die Zusammenarbeit der Mitgliedsstaaten. Hierzu finden sich hier sehr viele Artikel und Analysen.

These works – intellectual property – are expanding the bounds of science and technology and enriching the world of the arts. Through its work, WIPO plays an important role in enhancing the quality and enjoyment of life, as well as creating real wealth for nations.

The World Bank Group is one of the world's largest sources of development assistance. In Fiscal Year 2001, the institution provided more than US$17 billion in loans to its client countries. It works in more than 100 developing economies with the primary focus of helping the poorest people and the poorest countries

 

World Trade Organisation 10

The World Trade Organization (WTO) is the only global international organization dealing with the rules of trade between nations. At its heart are the WTO agreements, negotiated and signed by the bulk of the world’s trading nations and ratified in their parliaments. The goal is to help producers of goods and services, exporters, and importers conduct their business.
